Not what I thought Does not come with a screen or spring dampener. Found one at box store for half the price and it included the above. September 6, 2011
air king duct wall cap product was as described. The long leg was exactly what i needed to connect to my range exhaust and get through the wall. I would have preferred some bird screen in the product, although I guess the thought is that the spring loaded cover only opens when there is exhaust and so there should be no problem. I fabricated my own bird screen out of some chicken wire and secured it with some self-tapping screws in less than 10 minutes. May 17, 2011

my current wall cap is 12in length and 5 1/2 long by 3 1/4 depth...my house is being resided. what should I be looking for in a new wall cap

A. When they are installing your siding they will cut the siding to go around your wall cap, if you wanted a different one it would be a good time to switch but otherwise they will fit the siding to you wall cap
