Great Roof Cap for High CFM Range Hoods VERY well-made and very well sealed around all edges. Exhaust door opens and closes easily and rests along foam rubber when closed. Bird screen is an important feature and it's attached well. Packed and shipped carefully; flashing edges were not bent. Good instructions. Installs easily. I'm using it to vent an undercabinet range hood that exhausts a max of 570 CFM, so I needed no less than the 8". I first looked at a roof cap made by the maker of my range hood, but it just covers a hole in the roof! I would have to run a non-flexible duct through the roof, secure it, cut it angled to the roof pitch, and seal the gap between the duct and the roof cutout. Too much work. I chose the Air King mostly because its made with a built-in 8" round duct underneath which protrudes through the roof enough that you can easily attach 8" inch ductwork (flexible or not) from inside the attic.
