cost effective trough the wall venting I used this ventilator in the wall above my new grill in the outdoor kitchen I'm building. It was much cheaper than an expensive vent hood and works just as well. It's noisier than a bathroom fan but moves a lot of air. Saved me a lot of money. July 31, 2010

How do you turn this off and on?

A. You have to hardwire that in and have a wall switch to turn it on or off.

Does this product require a seperate on/off switch?

A. The Air King EWF-180 does not come with a switch, it will need to be ordered seperately.

Can this fan be used in a wood shop? To exhaust wood dust?

A. The Air King EWF-180 is not made for thick dust (such as wood) and is not recommended for use in such an environment.

Can I use this fan for a bath/shower application as opposed to going through the ceiling

A. The Air King EWF-180 is Ul rated for damp locations and would be perfect for that! Just make sure that you are terminating outside so you don't have a buildup of damp air collecting anywhere in your house.c
