Energy Star 100 CFM Deluxe Quiet Combination Exhaust Fan with Light

The ENERGY STAR® Deluxe Quiet Series with Light provides cost effective, energy efficient ventilation at low sound levels. The series features an energy efficient fluorescent light with a contoured low profile grill, a moonstone glass lens and a 4 watt night light. The exhaust fan, light and night light can all be wired to operate separately.

Air King AKF100L Very Quiet, however It can't be 100 CFM. Air and Moisture is removed very very slowly. November 3, 2011

Top Quality We install a lot of bath fans for customers and have found the Air King AK series to be one of the best in the industry for quality and price. You cannot buy a better fan for the money. Nice product but arrived damaged The product works well. Sufficient lighting and it moves the air as expected. My issue was with the condition of the unit when it arrived. The exhaust port was bent inward badly enough that it prevented the "flaps" from opening. It was easy to fix, but if I had noticed the flaw, the unit would not function properly. The fan housing is plastic and was broken completely through making one of the screws that holds it to the external box useless. I used two 3/8" strips of plastic and sheet metal screws to repair it. The packaging was not damaged, so I suspect the unit was already flawed when it was packed. Again, after I fixed it, the unit works well. September 10, 2010

Works well I have never installed a fan before. I would have bee nice if i could have put the fan in from the bath room insted of the attic. Fan works very good and has nice lighting. November 18, 2008

What is the size of opening?

A. The Air King AKF100LS needs 16" on center ceiling joists for easy installation.

On the page for this fan it states that it requires a control switch. Why?

A. The Air King AKF100LS must be controlled by an external switch, like a wall control. If you already have a wall switch you would like to wire it to, you do need need to purchase a wall control.

what is dual speed and does it reqire an additional wall switch

A. The Air King AKF100LS has duel speeds, meaning it can run at a low speed setting or high speed setting. It can be wired to an existing wall switch, but you do need the wall control (sold separately) to turn it on and off.

Please tell me the difference between tha AKF100LS and the AKF100D. Also I need to know if the part that is on the outside of the house is included with the fan or if I have to purchase Air King WC4NS (wall cap with back draft damper)?

A. The Air King AKF100D is a dual speed unit whereas the AKF100LS is single speed. The wall cap is not included in the AKF100LS kit, so you will need to purchase one separately.
